You have by far one of the cleanest cars I've ever seen, and a Z too, my personal favorite. How do you keep it so clean?
Well the Z is garage kept so that helps. Its not driven as much anymore since it has become a show car.
It's mostly trailored. I get a lot of nice supplies from my sponsors Meguiars Wax and Pakshak detailing
products.
That always helps out, do you clean it after every drive?
Yes... it's always wiped down.
When did you first get into the import scene?
In about 1995 when I first started showing the car.
Is that when you first got your Z?
I have had my Z since 1992. I am the second owner.
What made you pick the 300zx as your platform of choice?
It has always been my favorite car. Once I started showing, things really took off.
What made you decide to build it into a show car?
I just really got into showing it. The car showed very well.
Any future plans for the it?
Just some upgrades to the suspension, chromed tension rods, and finish off some of the powdercoating on
the suspension.
Do you ever see a day when it will actually be finished?
No, lol, I feel there will always be something to do to it, that's half the fun.
Haha didn't think so. Think you'll keep it forever?
Yes... I will never sell it.
What's your favorite thing about going to the shows?
Meeting other folks and seeing what they have done to their cars and making new friends.
How do Z enthusiasts differ from others, that you can tell at least?
There is a heritage with the Z's since they have been around since 1969, and now with the new 350Z's, it's even better.
Would you say most Z owners are aware of the heritage?
Yes for the most part. The 350Z owners are starting to get into it the more they become involved in clubs.
What do you do for a living?
Federal Law Enforcement
Really? What branch?
Department of Homeland Security
Very nice, helping keep us all nice and safe.
I try lol.
Are you married?
Yes
That's great, for how long now?
7 years
Is the wife into cars too?
To a point.
Haha, any other hobbies besides cars?
Detailing :)
Lol. When you detail your car before a show, how long would you say it takes?
I put about 25 hours of prep getting ready for Zcon.
What is Zcon? For those who don't know.
National Z Convention, the location changes every year.
You are the president of the East Coast Z Association right?
Yes I am, our website is ECZA.org.
What do you do exactly, and how long have you been in this position?
I have been the president since January of 2003. I am responsible for organizing meets, events,
membership, etc.
Keeps you busy I bet.
Yes... but it's fun. We have a great organization.
SO, any Z can join?
Sure, we are a club dedicated to all vintages of the Z car.
How many members do you guys have?
890
That's a lot to keep track of. What do you have to do to join?
Just fill out our application online at our website. Members will get an email in 2-3 weeks with their
membership number.
Easy enough.
Very.
What was your favorite car growing up?
The Z of course :)
Should have expected that.
Thanks a lot for taking the time do this. Any Shoutouts, thanks, or anything?
Well I would like to thank my sponsors for all of their help and support on the car: Meguiars Wax, Pakshak
Micro fiber detailing products (pakshak.com), Terry
Weston, Zeetoyz.com, and Concept Z Performance.
